샬롯츠빌한인교회(KCCIC)는 1977년 작은 씨앗으로 시작된 교회로서, 미주한인예수교장로회(Korean American Presbyterian Church)에 속해 있으며, 하나님의 은혜 가운데 50년 가까이 샬롯츠빌 지역의 한인 공동체와 함께 걸으며 섬겨 왔습니다.
Korean Community Church in Charlottesville (KCCIC) began as a small seed in 1977. As a member church of the Korean American Presbyterian Church, we have walked alongside and served the Korean community in Charlottesville for nearly 50 years by God's grace.
우리는 복음의 능력을 믿습니다. 예수 그리스도의 죽음과 부활이 우리의 능력 되며 우리의 가장 고귀한 지혜가 됨을 믿습니다. 이에 예수 그리스도를 온전히 증거하고 있는 성경을 하나님의 절대적인 말씀으로 믿는 굳건한 믿음 위에 우리 교회는 서 있습니다.
We believe in the power of the Gospel. We believe that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is our strength and our highest wisdom. Our church stands on the firm conviction that the Bible, which fully testifies to Jesus Christ, is the absolute Word of God.
그러한 믿음은 우리에게 소망을 지니게 합니다. 우리는 이 땅에서 살아가지만 이 땅에 속하지는 않았습니다. 하나님께서 우리를 택정하여 부르셨기에 우리의 속함과 소망은 하나님께 있음을 고백하며 우리 교회는 나아갑니다.
Such faith gives us hope. We live in this world, but we do not belong to it. Because God has chosen and called us, we press forward confessing that our belonging and our hope are in Him.
천국 소망은 또한 우리의 관계를 재정립 해줍니다. 주님 안에서 우리를 형제 자매로 부르셨으니 그와 같이 서로를 바라보며 사랑하고자 합니다. 예수님께서 십자가를 지시고 죽기까지 우리를 사랑하심 같이 서로를 사랑하는 교회이고자 합니다.
The hope of heaven also reshapes our relationships. Since the Lord has called us brothers and sisters in Him, we seek to see and love one another as such. We desire to be a church that loves one another just as Jesus loved us — even to the point of bearing the cross and dying for us.
이러한 고백이 언제나 우리의 마음과 입술에 머물기를 소망합니다.
We pray that this confession would always remain in our hearts and on our lips.
